Developed by Atlassian, Jira is a technological tool for the management of projects of different scales; a bugs tracking system, and an incident management system. This is an efficient tool for automated project management, and its real-time reporting and monitoring functionalities. Thanks to this platform, it is now easy to collaborate rapidly with highly flexible planning.

Use of the JIRA Tool

Jira is delivered with four types of tickets (with the possibility to extend them by an administrator):

  • Story : A "User Story"
  • Task : A task to be accomplished
  • Bug : A problem to resolve
  • Epic : A work-load apt to last for a long time

Advantages:

Disadvantages :

  • Paid tool
  • Too complete: the tool requires a great deal of time to appropriate and master fully
  • Training is necessary.
