Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (Office Marocain de la Propriété Industrielle et Commerciale - OMPIC)
OMPIC is the organization responsible for industrial property protection (trademarks, patents, industrial designs and patterns) and for keeping the central trade register in Morocco. Its role is to support companies in the development of their intangible assets (trademarks, patents, industrial designs and patterns, trade names). To do this, it acts upstream of the process by raising awareness and training economic operators, and intervenes downstream in the areas of promotion and enforcement of protected rights. OMPIC keeps the national registers of industrial property rights, namely trademarks, service marks, patents, industrial designs and patterns, geographical indications and designations of origin. It also keeps the Central Trade Register in which legal entities and individuals engaged in commercial activities on the national territory are registered.
National Commission for the Control of Personal Data Protection (Commission Nationale de contrôle de la protection des Données à caractère Personnel - CNDP)
The CNDP is responsible for informing and raising awareness among individuals, organizations and public and private institutions. To this end, it informs individuals of their rights under the new legal framework that regulates the use of their personal data in Morocco, and advises and assists individuals in protecting themselves against any misuse of their personal data, raises awareness among public and private organizations on their obligations and best practices in terms of personal data processing, advises and assists controllers in implementing the process to comply with the provisions of Law No. 09-08 and its implementing regulations, and explains to economic operators the rules and mechanisms governing the transfer of personal data abroad.
National Committee for Industrial Property and Anti-Counterfeiting (Comité National pour la Propriété Industrielle et Anti-Contrefaçon- CONPIAC)
The role of this institution is to strengthen the legislative and regulatory framework for combating counterfeiting in Morocco, to evaluate the economic impact of counterfeiting, to exchange information on combating counterfeiting, to raise awareness among consumers and industrial and commercial enterprises on the legislative and regulatory provisions in force, to train the staff of the authorities involved in combating counterfeiting in Morocco and to promote international cooperation in this field.
National Federation of e-commerce of Morocco (Fédération nationale du e-commerce du Maroc - FNEM)
The FNEM is the organization representing the e-commerce and distance selling sector. Its mission is to collect and disseminate information to improve knowledge of the sector and to promote the sustainable and ethical development of distance selling and e-commerce in Morocco.
National Federation of the Hotel Industry (Fédération Nationale de l’Industrie Hôtelière - FNIH)
The role of the FNIH is to maintain and develop the tourism industry within the framework of the country's overall economy. To this end, it contributes to the setting up of the appropriate terms and conditions for a rapid and smooth development of the national tourism industry, in particular by attracting foreign capital, training hoteliers in close collaboration with specialized training institutions, setting up the appropriate infrastructure, obtaining all measures or specific provisions from the relevant authorities which can benefit the tourism industry in view of its own specificities, launching investigations and studies and organizing any initiative relating to the hotel and tourism industry, likely to facilitate its expansion or to contribute to solving its problems.
National Tourism Confederation (Confédération Nationale du Tourisme - CNT)
The CNT is the strategic interlocutor of the entire tourism sector vis-à-vis the public authorities. It implements the commitments of the 2020 vision program contract by establishing and supporting regional federations, restructuring trade federations, professionalizing trades and reactivating their connectivity. The Confederation also works to improve the competitiveness of tourism companies and product development, and provides several services to its members, including visibility on the sector's development, supported by studies for the benefit of professionals, and facilitating access of tourism companies to support mechanisms in terms of funding and events.
TAMWILCOM
TAMWILCOM contributes to giving impetus to private initiative by stimulating the creation, development and upgrading of businesses. It also supports social development, notably by guaranteeing housing loans, and is committed to financing seed capital and innovation to ensure continuity in the start-up financing chain, particularly during the early stages of creation.
